Going Coastal On Our Asses

It's been a busy week. I managed to get down to D.C. on Sunday, and spent the day along the Capitol Mall. I went to the National Gallery first. Afterwards, I visited the National Archives and had a look at the Bill of Rights and the Constitution (just to make sure that they were still there, doncha know). Finally, I hit the Smithsonian Natural History museum, specifically to see the gallery of Polynesian artifacts which never fails to please me.

I'll be returning to "fly-over land" tomorrow morning. If you read the screeds of smug, bloviating, self-righteous jerks like Ted Rall, you may be inclined to believe that it's a vast cultural wasteland inhabited solely by knuckle-dragging, cretinous homophobes and warmongers. Ted, baby, you really need to climb out of that New York bubble you're living in and take a gulp of fresh air. People like you couldn't be doing more harm to liberal causes if you were an undercover operative for Karl Rove.
