One Day At Johnie's
My friend Kathyrn just posted some of her photos from the one-day-only grand reopening of Johnie's Coffee Shop in downtown L.A., hosted by the fine folks of the Los Angeles Conservancy. Johnie's is an especially excellent example of the rapidly-vanishing style of Googie architecture once prevalent in Southern California.
It looks like the event was a lot of fun, and I think it's pretty cool that Eldon Davis, one of the original architects was actually on hand to meet the folks who stopped by.
I wonder if the pie was any good?
My previous post about Johnie's is here.
