Back to the Future Again
As an addendum to my previous post on Retrofuturism, here's a site from Gravity Lens with beefier visuals. Behold Tales of Future Past.
Bonus points to the site's creator for showcasing Thunderbirds which often used nuclear-power as their threat-of-the-week. Inevitably, in these episodes one of the characters would say, "...but don't worry, it's perfectly safe" right before all hell broke loose. My son and I use this as a catchphrase around the house.
Son: "Dad, I see you're using the new Atomic Transcontinental Toaster Oven to toast our bagels!"
Me: "That's right, Son, but don't worry it's perfectly safe..."
Both: [explosion noises]
Me: "Quick, call International Rescue!"
Son: "F.A.B., Dad!"
Wife: [walks by shaking her head]
And now I present the following Bea Arthur mod from Something Awful's almost always phabulous Phototshop Phriday in tribute to Anarchismo's Thomas Anderson who appears to have gone AWOL from his weblogging duties. Perhaps he's finally run off to live in Switzerland with Miss Wurzel Tod?
