Brain and Brain! What is Brain?

Photographer/artist, Mike Carano, is staging a theatrical remake of the classic Star Trek episode, Spock's Brain. No, it's not a parody, it's being played straight.

Dear god, I want to see this.

P.S. Mike's night-time Disneyland photos are incredible.

Fantômas and His Children

Fantômas Lives explores the various incarnations of the diabolical French archcriminal and anti-hero in books, film, art, and comics.

The success of Fantômas bred imitation in the form of Satanik and Diabolik, villains who possessed a decidedly more sadistic and sexual edginess. The latter was turned into an excellent Psychotronic film by Italian horror maestro, Mario Bava.

Dolemite For President!

Dolemite is his name, kickin' ass and recording sensuous comedy albums is his game!

Dolemite is element Dm in the Periodic Table of Funk. Dolemite should not be confused with DOLOMITE (CaMg(CO3)2, Calcium Magnesium Carbonate), which is named for the French mineralogist Deodat de Dolomieu, and is a common sedimentary rock-forming mineral that can be found in massive beds several hundred feet thick.

Dave's Show Rod Rally

Dave's Show Rod Rally
page takes me back to the ancient past when I would lock myself in my room for hours, building hot rod model kits until I passed out from inhaling Testors glue. I also collected these cards. Dave Marek's original Kustom Kar art is pretty nifty as well. I really like his iPod rod (and the Tiki T too, 'natch).
