Tattooed Chefs

"Naturally, cooking ranks with the Navy and the yakuza as one of the great tattooed vocations, though the images sometimes differ. The most committed chefs are known to ink tools and ingredients onto their bodies -- a sign that they're in it for more than just the endless desserts."

And They'll Know We Are Christians By Our Love Waffles

Mmmmm, is there anything more wonderful than regrettable foodstuffs from the recent past rendered in nauseatingly lurid colors? Retro Recipes doesn't think so, and serves up 30 pages with over 75 scans of piping-hot old recipe cards.

Pay particular attention to the horrid Jell-O salads (the kind that Czeltic Girl likes), and for Christ's sake (literally), don't miss the galleries of scans from the TBN Family Favorites Cookbook where you'll find tragic makeup and big-hair disaster, Jan Crouch's Meatloaf, along with Pat Robertson's Self-Control Chili and Love Waffles. I don't have to tell you that just thinking about Pat making something called Love Waffles is making my skin crawl, do I?
