Hawaiian Swing II: Slack-key Boogaloo

I've received a few requests to post a followup to the sharity of 78rpm recordings of Hawaiian swing tunes from the 1920s and 30s I posted back in April [Link], so here's 18 more songs by Andy Iona, Loni McIntire, Hal Aloma, and other yodeling, slack-key shamans from the Tropics. You can mahalo me later.

Eurodisco Hangover

I returned from London last night, and after 9 days of chip butties, ale, and Eurovision, I'm in serious need of some exercise, so I'm going dance with Italy's Madonna, Heather Parisi, and watch those excess pounds and inches melt away. [Link: Disco Bambina]

More blogging later.

Supermarionated Shadows

Even though I haven't been blogging over the past week, I've been busy doing other things, like updating my collection of YouTube clips. Here's a musical number from the film, Thunderbirds Are Go!, that features puppet versions of Cliff Richards and legendary 60s British instrumental band, The Shadows. The geeky looking chap in the Clark Kent glasses is unlikely guitar god, Hank Marvin.

YouTubing In the Forbidden Zone

I joined the sweaty throng of YouTube contributors a couple of days ago, and uploaded a few clips from my DVD collection. Here's a peppy little musical number from the cult film Forbidden Zone, called Bim Bam Boom [Link].

Check back for updates to the collection by clicking on the My YouTube Clips link on the right sidebar [Link].
