Will "World of" Kane informs me that Eye of the Goof, along with my blogroll buddies at Junkyard Clubhouse, received a mention in the weekend print edition of the UK newspaper, The Guardian, apparently in reference to our mutual posts on diminuitive Philipino spy-film superstar, Weng Weng.

Nice to see someone at the Guardian has excellent taste in weblogs, but I'm a bit disappointed it wasn't included in their online edition. After all, the nearest British newstand is 4,000 miles away, so running out to buy the dead-tree version isn't exactly an option.

Humu has graciously nominated me for a Blogger's Choice Award for Best Pop Culture Blog.

Of course, my chances of actually winning against the heavy-hitters currently listed in that category are probably close to nil, but it's always very nice to receive some recognition. In the 4 years that've passed since the Eye first opened for business, I've always enjoyed the support and encouragement of my blogging peers, and that's pretty much the only thing that keeps me from blowing this pop-cultural popsicle stand (it sure ain't the gigantic volume of site traffic).

I love you all and want to bear your children (in test tubes).
