Eurodisco Alert!

I lived in Germany and Denmark for several years where against my
better musical judgement, I developed a bizarre affection for cheesy,
crappy, novelty disco tunage. Here's a few samples of what I'm talking
about:
Here's a clip of Danish disco sensation and Doug Henning impersonator, Tommy Seebach, performing the Shadows' instrumental classic, Apache, and cavorting in a field with a bevy of scantily-clad faux Indian maidens.
Dschinghis Khan was a German group with an inexplicable fetish for satin Russian Cossack outfits and disco kickdancing.
Gunther and The Sunshine Girls prove that mullets aren't just for rednecks in the chock-full-'o-softcore-pr0n, Ding Dong Song (You Touch My Tra-La-La). Not safe for work, obviously.
Finally, dance producer Vitalic appears poised to become the Wagner of Eurodisco thanks to his megahit, My Friend Dario, a lavish production filled with metalhead air guitar, rotating engine blocks, and frugging supermodels wearing silver go-go boots and football helmets.
And with that, I bid you all adieu and head to Los Angeles until next Sunday.
Many Eurodisco-y thanks to Beware of the Blog

I know the name "Dschinghis Khan" but I never listened a song from them till now . I just knew a Brazilian group called Ghengis Khan. :)

Holy crap! I've been enamored of Dschinghis Khan ever since finding out they're the ones who did the song in the background of one of these old Skeletor And Gang videos (episode 13). Hot!

that was.... i'm speechless. The guy in green satin from the Dzhingis Khan video has to be seen to be believed. The bald guy in blue satin is a dead ringer for Alan Rickman. The Gunther video made my brain come to a complete disbelieving halt.

Vitalic gave me renewed faith in my own creativity.
Dschinghis Khan simply scared me.

If you look closely, the guy in green from Dschinghis Khan is a girl.

Actually, after further research it's not. I swear that guy looks like a girl with a stuck-on mustache.

Nothing makes me hornier than Dschinghis Khan. Some Warsteiner and satin and I am ready to dance.
My friend thinks that Dschinghis Khan are a clear example that "Video Killed the Radio Star" but is so into Enrique Iglesias that, well you know, he just doesn't know how to party.

Dschinghis Khan can you rock me any harder?

This is not apropos, but as a resident of Wisconsin, do you have any extra Wisconsin quarters lying around? I'd like one for my mom.

If you want my Wisconsin quarters, you'll have to dress up in green satin and dance like a Cossack!

sadly enough, I've watched that stupid Santa Khan thing, like, 4,098 times, and I find something new every time.
like, is Khan a chick, or what?

Given all the gender confusion this band is generating, I think a trip to the veternarian might be in order.
