Alas, this vintage postcard I found today, from the Mai-Kai Restaurant in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, is as close as I'm going to get to Hukilau 2008 this June. And, as fate would have it, this may well be the FINAL Hukilau, as hostess and event co-ordinator, Tiki-Kiliki, has decided to hang up her muu-muu. Hopefully, someone will belly up to the Molokai Bar and keep the drinks coming so I can attend a Hukilau at least once before the Mai-Kai gets bulldozed and turned into a Wal-Mart.
