No Bloody Swearing!

roast.jpg

Greetings from Blighty! It's a miserable, grey, and rainy Monday...quite a contrast to yesterday, when I met up with The Cartoonist, Konstantin, and several thousand commie bicyclists at the Sherlock Holmes pub in sunny Westminster for a Sunday Roast podcast where we talked a load of rubbish about Russian billionaires, bad '70s science-fiction films, bluetongue disease, and British football.

Afterwards, Konstantin left for the Scottish Highlands, where he intends to stay in a small cottage for several weeks and eat fried sheep.

Yes, but *whole* fried sheep of course.

Baaaah!

Dude, awesome! You're a podcaster, and you have a voice!

And what a cool format - people sitting around chatting in a pub.

you have a voice!

A high, boyish one, but a voice nonetheless...:-)

The format *is* great, but it's tricky finding pubs in London that aren't filled with bloody tourists nowadays.

No! Not high and boyish. A very nice voice.

Actually, you've inspired me in a very real way. Last night at my comedy show, I sat with three other comics at a booth, chowing dinner and having beer and talking crazy comedy crap, and I went to write a little recap of it this morning, and thought "Oh my god, if I'd just plunked my little Olympus digital voice recorder in the middle of the table, I'd have had some excellent and entertaining content for the show's website." I pitched the idea to my co-producers, and we're going to start doing that...little pre-show chats with the comics about random funny stuff, then upload it to the site. Voila!

So thanks for the spark!

Well, you know I always say that if my blog inspires just one person to create more random funny stuff, then I feel as if I've done my bit to make the world a better place...:-)

I'll be sure to drop by and check them out!

Liz, I think we're going to have a copyright issue here...

...we demand at least 70% of all income generated.
:-)

What with one thing and another I just got around to listening to this (I'm three weeks behind on Jawbone Radio, so relatively speaking this is early as opposed to late), and while they sound uncomfortable you come off as the perfect guest. If I ever have a podcast I'll be sure to have you on.

Opposite some very nice cyclist, of course.

No problem...70% of 0 is...what would that be, again? I'm so bad with numbers.

Hey, that's a lot! We're all becoming rich and famous now!
