It'd be interesting to know the etymology of that word. I wonder if there was originally a gambler named Jack Pots?

"The origin of the word jackpot comes from a version of draw poker where a pair of jacks or better are needed to open the "pot" to start betting." This was taken from Wikipedia. Nice postcard. Thanks for the link.
