Fractured Flickers
The sight of Hans Conried prancing around as Dr. T in his undulating undies with the Maribou frills, put me in mind of his old television show, Fractured Flickers, which featured silent film clips dubbed with inane, and frequently hilarious dialogue. Conried served as the show's narrator and also hosted a celebrity interview during each episode, while Jay Ward mainstays June Foray, Edward Everett Horton, and Paul Frees provided voice talent.
I've located 2 samples for your viewing edification: the first clip showcases the great animated opening and closing credits which are clearly linked at the hip with Dudley Do-Right, while the second clip is a very funny spoof of Fritz Lang's early talkie, M, featuring Peter Lorre's homicidal psychotic child murderer transformed into a struggling ex-smoker.

Thanks for the memories. As you are probably aware, Fractured Flickers was created when the Bullwinkle crew needed work during the animators' strike. The editors, voice actors, script writers, and so on, put together FF very quickly to keep themselves working. The show was so successful, they continued making it following the strike.

I do remember reading about that bit of Jay Ward history somewhere. Thanks for jogging my memory!

There are some episodes of this included as extras on one of the Rocky & Bullwinkle DVD sets.
