De la Terre à la Lune (et là-bas)

Thanks again to TroyZIM for pointing me the steampunk weblog, Brass Goggles [Link], which in turn led me to NemoTechnik, a French site showcasing some truly jaw-dropping models and dioramas of various vehicles and scenes from the novels of Jules Verne. Shown above is the coal-powered rocket (complete with first and second class compartments) from his book, From the Earth to the Moon. The galleries of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea models are stunning as well.

And while you're there, don't miss NemoTechniks' gallery of amazing 2001: A Space Odyssey models. The incredibly detailed Discovery model pictured above comes complete with a functioning pod bay!

Yeah, I'm not a huge steampunk fan, but I like their style.
