Shameless Post-Punk Plug
Mike Ace and Dean Sabatino were nice enough to send me a promo copy of their resurrected and remastered chunk o' Philly post-punk, Twin Cities. I've written about Narthex [Link] before, so I'll try not to repeat myself. Suffice it to say that the digital transfer and remix reveals a crispness that was obviously missing from the original analog tapes, and that serves to highlight the incredible tightness of Mike and Dean's playing (and interplay). What also comes through loud and clear is the sense of goofy fun, showcased on tunes like Are You From England? and Crazy Rhythms.
You can check out song samples and purchase the disc at CD Baby [Link] or download from iTunes [Link].
