London 2006: Museums

I'm alive and still in England through this weekend. Here are a few highlights of what I've been up to museum-wise in the past week or so:

Ohhh, I'm jealous. The British Museum is my most favorite museum in the whole wide world. The V&A exhibit looks awesome too.

fantastic!!!!!
i love the mega visor!!!
i wear one for driving
my husband love's his too.
glad to hear you're seeing so much interesting museum stuff.
thank you for sharing :D

Britt: I think the V&A is much cooler than the frequently stodgy old BM, and the Tate Modern is cooler than either of them.

mod*mom: Caution! Remove visor before driving!

Sure 'nuff ‚ last time I was in the UK was 1996... I was 16 years old and I attended the opening of the Tate Modern! Wish I were there now. Of course, what I love about the BM is all the Egyptology.
(Althoug "bm" makes me think of something else entirely...)

Oh my dear sweet Lord, I must go to the Victoria and Albert Museum!

fantastic! i'm jealous. what cool exhibits.

Hey, if you like Taste the Blood of Dracula and Dr Phibes, you might like to see Highgate Cemetery, where scenes from both were filmed. Also, you probably know this but Trader Vic's sells mugs out of a case near the front entrance...expensive, though (big surprise there, eh?). I'm about to post my trader Vic's stuff so you can see the prices.

big surprise there, eh?

I went to Vic's last Saturday night before seeing Spamalot and paid 47 pounds for 2 appetizers and 2 drinks! I didn't have any money left over for mugs.
