London 2006: The Bali/Basil Summit

Last Sunday, I embarked upon an epic train and tube journey from Reading to Hainault to visit The Cartoonist and his wife, Renate. After being shown the various crime-fighting tools and mysterious alien artifacts that fill every nook and cranny of The Cartoonist's secret lair, I was introduced to the one and only Basil. He has a bone-crushing grip, y'know.

Afterwards, we hopped into the Cartoonistmobile and drove out into the countryside for a lovely Sunday roast at a pub called The Rabbit.

Well, after all those fabulous Polonium going-ons, I've decided to hide the alien artifacts inside Basil's ribcage. You just never know when and where they'll strike next! :-)

Yes, probably best not to let such things fall into the hands of the Russian Mafia.

Exactly. That's why Basil wants to have his ribs spray painted in metallic purple with yellow dots. It's like camouflage, because alien artifacts usually come with this rather strange combination of colours.
