Me, the Monkey, and Marugan
Those of you who've been waiting for me to get off my fat ass and post something cool and interesting about my trip to Kuala Lumpur will be happy to know that I paid a visit to the Batu Caves, and the Mayalsian National Museum today. Here's a photo gallery of my perambulations for your perusing pleasure.

The Batu Caves were extremely cool (except for the creepy little monkeys). If I were religious, I'd definitely be Hindu, because who can resist all those groovy, all-singing, all-dancing Technicolor deities of theirs?
They can stuff that piercing with metal hooks crap, though.

The Batu Caves remind me of the cave in Chiang Mai I visited when I was in Thailand. Were they full of bats?

Just pigeons, but I'm sure there were plenty of bats hiding inside too.

Here's a picture of the bats in that Thai cave.

Those weren't creepy flying monkeys, were they?

I didn't see any wings, but maybe they had them tucked away in their hot monkey buttcracks.

Glad to read that you're having an interesting time after that crazy first day with the Chins...
Can you believe I've never been to Batu Caves?

Hey Lili, glad to see that you got back to LA in one piece! It was good to talk to you.
It's pretty common for people to somehow never get around to visiting places near them. I lived next to Oceanic Arts for years and never went inside.

Hi Matt - I am still jetlagged but glad to be home here. You know, rats aren't that common... um... I never saw one in M'sia. As for those hideous large flying cockroaches - they're everywhere!
