It's been my website mascot for the past 6 years or so. You can see it in the background image at the top of my main page, and also on my old website. This post I made a couple of years ago explains that it was originally the logo for an old British valve manufacturer.

It was part of a book about new logo designs ... just pages and pages of cool new stuff ... back in the early 90's or so ...
