Working Vacation
There won't be much blogging 'round these here parts until next week. I'm busting my hump at work, trying to cover for a recently-departed cow-orker, then I'm taking a few days off to get ready for my mom's 80th birthday party, which we're hosting this weekend. I'm planning to throw a mini-luau for her, along with 12 of my aunts and uncles. Should be fun, but it'll be dry, since a number of my relatives are on the wagon.
Speaking of the wagon (falling off of it, to be precise), here's a bevy of fine 'bloggage related to demon alcohol that I recently became aware of thanks to The Art of Drink:
Jimmy's Cocktail Hour
Republic of Rum
The Spirit World
Enjoy in immoderation!

Drunkard is linked on the right sidebar, been there for ages.
It won't be a luau in the roasted pig sense; we're making puu-puus, Indonesian spareribs, and curried chicken/shrimp skewers to go with the virgin punch.

Was this a a typo or a comment on the ex-associate's abilities? ;)
A Classic "Homes and Gardens Magazine"-type Luau sounds like fun. If we stop by we'll tell everyone we're your Cousin's Mother's Brother's family and no-one'll know we're not really related.

Cow-orker is an intentional mispelling that originated on Usenet, in the talk.bizarre newsfroup.
Sure, stop on by. Kind of a long trip from SoCal to Western Wisconsin just for some puu-puus and virgin punch though...:-)
