Frogs Greifen Uns An II: Raumpatrouille Redux

As usual, Xeni at bOINGbOING is a bit late to the party and a little light on her research. She's apparently just discovered the swingadelic German space-opera from the 60s, Raumpatrouille (AKA Spaceship Orion), and writes: "I'd never heard of "Raumpatrouille" before this week."

Maybe you should read my pal, The Cartoonist more often? He's only been posting fab Orion links and images for the past 3 or 4 years and has been linked to bOINGbOING multiple times.

Raumpatrouille ist wunderbar mein Herr! I loved watching it as a kid - today it's pure 'Kult'. Love the soundtrack ...

Jawohl! The soundtrack is brilliant; I downloaded it a few months ago.

Yeah, I caught that BB entry this morning and couldn't help thinking, "Geeze lady, we covered that on the ol' Exotica list back in the 90s."

I'm not terminally jaded, am I?

I don't think it's about being jaded so much, as it's about why the Xeni-fied BB is so totally sucktastic; she doesn't seem to check anything she posts to see if it's something a significant portion of the blogosphere already knows about.

Did you notice how much better it got while she was in Tibet? Maybe we can take up a collection and send her back.

Ohmygoodnessme - thank you, Sir!

Raumpatrouille was actually mentioned on BB? I was wondering why I'm getting all those silly comments over on YouTube.

Perhaps I should subscribe to the BB feed again.

Or rather not.

Anyway, Matt - lots of thanks. Ralf.

My pleasure, Sir Cartoonist. If not for you, I would never have learned to keep watching the skies for invading Frogs!

The Frogs are evil, they really are!

:-)
