Two Bobs and a Bela
Greenbriar Picture Shows describes itself as "A Site Dedicated To The Great Days Of Movie Exhibitions," and that dedication is apparent in each lovingly crafted post, filled with great movie stills, publicity shots, promotional materials, and interesting behind-the-scenes stories of various celebrities.
It's hard to pick favorites, but I really enjoyed this post about Bob Hope and Paulette Goddard in The Ghost Breakers; a great horror-comedy, and the last in which Hope played a believable leading man and romantic lead, before transitioning into a wise-cracking, cowardly side-kick, and loser with the ladies.
I also greatly enjoyed these fan-magazine photographs of a young Bela Lugosi lounging around his stylish digs in a velvet robe and a very fey-looking pair of white sandals.
Finally, I got a chuckle out of this post about Robert Taylor's nicotine and coffee jones. You can see him here enjoying both vices with Ava Gardner while decked out in full Arthurian regalia.

Hey - I just saw that weblog for the first time yesterday when someone linked to it off the Turner Classic Movies message boards. Pretty neat! I too dug Bela and his "resting at home" outfits.

Finding new weblogs with that kind of quality is getting harder and harder these days. I hope he can keep it up.
