Tammy Faye Go Away

Just in time to celebrate its 1-year "blogiversary" and right in line with the subject matter of my last couple of posts, PCL has released a free musical comp entitled Christianity Vs. Satanism: 20 mp3s of songs and spoken-word recordings that includes such gems as the Church of Satan's founder, Anton LeVay, performing the old Billie Holliday chestnut, Gloomy Sunday and über-creepy Christian ventriloquist's dummy, Little Marcy, singing Devil Go Away.

But for my money, the most bizarre cut on this comp has to be Tammy Faye Bakker's The Devil's After Me, which she delivers in an incredibly annoying, high-pitched squeal of a voice that puts me in mind of a manic Shirley Temple, whacked out of her gourd after having consumed a bit too much of The Good Ship Lollipop. As far as I'm concerned, having to endure listening to this ought to immediately qualify me for sainthood.

So stop by PCL to wish Sebastian a very Swedish "Hipp, hipp... HURRA!" on his bloggy birthday, download this puppy, and choose which side you're going to spend all eternity with.
