Attention, Blog-o-Weeners!

Keith over at Old Haunts started a new feature today called Blogoween: a showcase of vintage Hallowe'en photographs submitted by various maintainers of online journals, including a couple of shots of Yours Truly. I think this is a great idea and a lot of fun, so I'd encourage any of you bloggers out there with old All Hallows Eve photos languishing in your family albums to dig them out, scan 'em, and send them to Keith for his next installment.

This picture was taken when I was about 3 months old. My mom liked to prop me up in the crib and deck me out in silly costumes to get her jollies. Looking back, I really can't begrudge her for the way she took advantage of my helpless state. After all, she spent most of her day dealing with my poo bombs and other forms of infantile toxic waste, so I think she deserved to have a bit of fun at my expense.

The photo of me in the fireman costume was snapped when I was 4. Judging by the crazed look on my face, I'd guess that I had already dug deeply into the candy bag and was flying high on a serious sugar buzz.

Happy Blogoween!

Thanks for the mention, Bali! :) Anytime I can amass at least a few pix from fellow bloggers, it's Blogoween time at Old haunts! Fun stuff.

I love that shot of you up there, too. You look like you're ready to go nuts with that hatchet in your hand! Almost like this was the last thing someone saw as this candy-crazed little maniac rushed them! A photograph was the only evidence left of the BaliHai Massacre. Heh.

Thanks again for the support!

Yeah, I want Pink Floyd to write a song about that photo called, "Careful With That Axe, Mr. Bali Hai."

Hope you get a lot of new submissions for Blogoween!

The link to "this picture" (at three months old) gives me a reliable 404 or equivalent on the other side.

It's fixed now, J. Thanks for the heads-up!
