My favorite cinematic crimino-bowling scene is Boris Karloff (as Gaffney) in perfect evil form bowling in Howard Hawk's Scarface.

Apparently there is a statue of him at the jet propulsion Lab . Werner Von Braun himself said he was the real father of Rockets. The story gets wierd when you find out he was more into the occult that Aleister Crowley...
