That is one of my favorite places on the net. The barracks is a deep well of ww2 history, atmosphere and eye candy.
A great combination.

My father was a torpedoman's mate on a submarine destroyer during WWII. When he died, my aunt gave me a big envelope of stuff from his sea chest; his diary, caricatures, and of course, pin-ups!
