672, to Be Exact

A while back, I received a nice invitation from David Chin, the proprietor of A Picture's Worth, to submit a personal photograph and a short essay to go along with it. The result of my first endeavor is a story about my climb of Uncompahgre Peak in the Colorado Rockies back in 1997, which occurred shortly after the end of the Most Of Us Naked Talk.Bizarre Outrageous Blowout (AKA MOUNT.BOB). Here's a photo of me and rone. As you can see, neither of us is naked...at least not at that particular point in time, we weren't.

That is such a great picture. And that was a fun trip. That was Ron's "trial by fire" so to speak. He got to see what it was like to travel across the US with a car full of teenagers. He survived, and he still loved me after. Amazing!

I'm staring at your beer, wondering, "Why don't *i* have a beer?"

I suspect that you were actually thinking, "I bet Kim's kids would respect me more if I was wearing a mask like that."
