Critiki
Critiki is a marvelous new compendium of links, photos, maps, addresses, and reviews of tiki-related locations around the globe. But there's a catch: you have to register and answer a short quiz to fully utilize the site, and to do that you must own a copy of James Teitelbaum's book, Tiki Road Trip (owning this should be a no-brainer if you're already an aficionado).

So that's where you got your name?

Yup. I have an old tiki mug from the restaurant that has "Mr. Bali Ha'i" stamped on the bottom.

The bar that my ex works at (and that two of his best friends own & manage) just went from skate bar to Tiki bar. Well, technically it's been Tiki on certain days for ages, but it's Tiki a lot more now.
Not as Tiki as Don' (the mgr's) back yard, but still pretty Tiki.
Come to think of it, it's not half as Tiki'd out as my ex's apartment. You two would have gotten on like a house on fire, I'm sure. (He's a really great guy, but he's soooo looking for a wife and I'm soooo not looking to be one.)

Sounds like they're doing it as a labor of love, not just a way to make a quick buck, so I say good on 'em. However, I have to admit that the thought of a bar full of breastfeeding women sounds pretty ridiculous. It's probably a big draw for drunken perverts tho'...
