I recently read the Bowie biography, "Strange Fascination" by David Buckley. I'll get a report posted on IO sooner or later. Short version... split decision. As a reading experience, it's kind of flatfooted, but on the good side, there's a lot of info (600+ pages, almost all text). And it strikes a decent middle-ground -- neither fan gush or hatchet job.

The latest issue of Mojo is dedicated to Aladdin Sane as well. I'm holding off on buying it until just before I leave for Detroit so I'll have something to read in the airport.
