Dummies On Vinyl

Thanks to Jonny over at Psychodelicado, I find myself riffing once again on the creepy dummy motif. Check out Dork's collection of bizarre ventriloquism records. This act, Geraldine and Ricky, are giving me a particularly bad case of the heebie-jeebies. What kind of look were they going for here anyway, the marriage of Jeannie C. Riley and the homunculus of Evel Knievel? Listen to "The Liquor Store", if you dare.

Be sure to spend some time browsing around the rest of the Dork's record cover collection. It's all good, but I found myself laughing the hardest at the Fashion Plates section.

...and watch out for the Leaping Lesbians!

NOTE: you've probably seen some of these album covers circulating on the web as an entry on the Stone weblog. Be advised that all of these images originally came from Nick DiFonzo's (AKA Dork's) website.
