Schwein On My Mind
Grüss Gott aus München! Just a quick shout-out from Bavaria where I've eaten more of The Other White Meat in the last 3 days than I'd had back home in about 3 months. So far I've had Schweinbraten mit Kruste (roasted pork with crust), Spanferkel (roast suckling pig), and Schweinhaxen (roasted piggy thigh). All washed down with giant Bavarian Maßbiers, naturally.

Tonight I think I'll have a nice salad and a mineral water.

Bavarian anti-Semitism, which has been around since the beginning of the Middle Ages, suddenly becomes clear. Those Jews stubbornly refused to eat the wholesome pigs of their neighbors; obviously, genocide is the only proper reaction to such rudeness.

One could also deduce that G*d, in his infinite wisdom, forbade the eating of swine since he knew that it would lead to oompah bands, shoe-slapping dances, and the wearing of smelly leather shorts with suspenders.
